On October 14, retail giant Lotte Group opened the completed commercial retail buildings on the lower part of Lotte World Tower & Lotte World Mall.
Lotte World Tower is a 123-floor, 555-meter skyscraper located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The building has 85 floors so far and is expected to finish construction in October 2016. Once completed, it will be the tallest building in the nation.
Lotte World Mall has about 1,000 local and global stores in its 11-story commercial building. The mall houses Lotte Mart, Lotte Cinema, Lotte Duty Free, Hi Mart, and Lotte World Aquarium. Visitors can also find a space dedicated to Hallyu and a food court designed to look like 60s to 80s Myeongdong.
The uppermost part (120-123F) of Lotte World Tower will serve as an observatory while floors 117 to 119 will be home to an art gallery. A hotel, offices, a medical center, and other amenities are also expected to open.
